Signed Japanese three-case inro decorated with hiramaki-e and takamaki-e depicting bugs and foliate. Inro is suspended from a woven cord accented by single bead and a signed flat circular lacquered netsuke displaying bugs. Several signatures/inscriptions to the underside of the inro; underside of the netsuke is faintly signed. From a Manhattan, NY estate. Dimensions: inro measures approx. 1.875" w x 2.25" h.
