A collection of seven pieces of mourning jewelry, 18th and 19th century
Provenance
Including a navette form brooch worked in polychrome of a woman watering a plant; a navette form pin worked en grisaille of a mourning figure; a rectangular enameled brooch inset with tree, urn and hair; a small oblong enameled brooch inlaid with initials and inset with hair; a large enameled pendant with scrolled giltwork border and seed pearls enclosing inset hair; a gold jewelry clasp engraved with brightwork enclosing a scene en grisaille with love bird-topped tombstone inscribed, “Amor Vincet Omnia”; and a enameled and gold rectangular brooch inset with initials and hair.
