Description

A group of telegraph sounders for Chicago Burlington and Quincy Railroad, mounted on wooden boards. Sounder with rounded corner base engraved CB&Q at the front edge. Model 15-B Sounder with large tag #531 Western Electric Main-Line Telegraph Sounder. Patent Applied For. With information about the sounder. Under base stamped NYRS Inspected 571-39. CB&Q RR issue branchline usage. The tag shows moderate discoloration at the bottom. Sounder marked on the base W.U. Tel. Co. Main Line Sounder 17-A and CB&Q on the front edge. Sounder marked CB&Q 30 Ohms Mainline Sounder 15-B and dated Dec 31 1928 on the bottom. Sounders all show general to moderate signs of age with base wear, dust from storage, spots of rust, and stickers. See photos for best description.
