From The private collection of Earl Sorensen, based out of Atlanta, is known as a prominent Asian Antiques collector. A International businessman whom trades with various Asian countries during the 1960s. On a business trip in Western China, he received a Buddha statue as gift from a monk. Since then, he has became fascinated with Chinese artifacts and Eastern cultures. After many decades, Earl Sorensen has planned his retirement, and decided to pass his beloved collections to appreciate collectors. Earl Sorensen's collections can be found from Lot-33 through Lot-65.

Chinese Ming Dynasty XuanDe Blue and White Lotus Porcelain Plate. The dish plate has a broad wide central interior, rounded mouth lip, thick large, raised on correspondence footed ring base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base colour which contrast against blue colour, depicted of abundant lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. Made in The Years XuanDe Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
