Second Verse to be used as a Chorus. The first and second verses are as follows: President Lincoln is dead and gone. His loss we all deplore; So carry him back to Illinois. Just where he was before. 2 nd Verse: Our Father Abraham is dead, The Hearse is on the road To carry his body to the West, His place of finial abode. Total of 20 verses printed on 5.24 x 8.75, mounted on album page with reverse having poem about Johnny Clem entitled The Drummer Boy of Shiloh, five eight line stanzas, marked along bottom Downing Published 288 Sixth Street Cincinnati, O.
