Eugenia Frances Baker McComas Californian 1875-1938 Polynesian Trilogy oil on canvas signed lower right on third piece "Gene McComas": 1.5 inch gold rounded edge frame For decades the triptych filled the McComas Room, a separate room of the dining of the Lodge. It was later moved to the Beach Club. In the late 1990's and early 2000's it was on loan for display at the Monterey Conference Center. A recent book by Scott Powell entitled ?Francis Elkins: Visionary American Designer,? notes the triptych attracted the attention of expatriate writer and native Californian Gertrude Stein.
