Description
American. 1940s. Artist unknown. The poster was promoted by Henry Disston & Sons. Inc., a prominent family of saw makers. Disston was once the leading maker of saws in the world. The poster shows a soldier hitting a caricature of Adolf Hitler with a tool, showing that tools are weapons that could "erase" people like Hitler. The stamp on the back is from "The Hamilton Fdy. & Mach. Co." a foundry located in Harrison, Ohio. Disston crest, at lower right. Stamped, "The Hamilton Fdy. & Mach. Co. Nov 23, 1942", on back.

Condition
Overall great condition. Shows some scuffs, original folds from mailing and minor creases. Pencil marking on word "Tools".
