Description
circa 1840-1850, probably New York, made for the Southern market, shaped Egyptian marble top, scrolled frieze centered by a shell medallion, heavily scrolled supports, mirrored back, shaped plinth, scrolled feet, both with metal plaques labeled "Lawrence Thompson, April 20, 1848", accompanied by a framed purchase receipt from 1848, 35 x 43 x 18-1/4 in.

Condition
both tables structurally sound, one marble top with restorations, marble tops are likely original with abrasions and minor discolorations, mahogany is sun faded, replaced mirror plates, scattered veneer shrinkages and repairs, one table lacking backing over mirror plate, one table with loss above rear left foot, other small losses and general wear as expected with age and use
