Description
Acrylic on canvas painting by Sayed Haider Raza, or S.H. Raza, 1922 to 2016, an Indian artist based in France, member of the Bombay Progressive Artists Group. The artwork is an abstract geometrical composition in blue color palette. Razas abstractions were based on the concept of Bindu, a point or the source of energy, inspired by the Indian culture and religions. Signed by the artist in the lower right. Dated 1993 and titled Naga et Surya Reduite on the backside. Naga is a divine race of half-human, half-serpent being which occurs in various Asian religious traditions. Surya is the Sun and the solar deity in Hinduism. Collectible Contemporary Oriental Modernist Fine Art, South Asian Artists.
