[HAND-COLORED AQUATINT]. [NELSON, Lord Horatio (1758-1805), subject]. Admiral Nelson Receiving the Spanish Admiral’s Sword on Board the San Josef. [England, ca. 1855]. Rare hand-colored version of this handsome engraving by J. Rogers (1808-1888) after art by Daniel Orme (1766-1837). Beneath the color image is a separate vignette (uncolored) captioned, “Nelson Wounded at the Attack on Teneriffe.” Sight approximately 7 x 9”. Matted and framed under glass. Frame size approximately 16 ¾ x 18 ½”. Marginal toning to print, upper right corner to frame beginning to separate. Still, fine. Rare in color.
