the grey veined marble top above a frieze drawer flanked by shell and rocaille cast ormolu chutes to the angles, over a banded fall front centred by a laurel draped oval reserve inlaid with a musical trophy flanked by ribbon-tied flower sprays, opening to a fitted interior with drawers and compartments, with a pair of cupboard doors below, with conforming inlay with a laurel draped oval reserve with an urn flanked by further ribbon-tied flower sprays, above a shaped apron with an ormolu rocaille mount, raised on short cabriole legs with sabots, stamped on the carcass ‘P.A. VEAUX’
