Item Details

Description

Over ½” (0.57”) height plus the suspension loop, of iconic cusped top heart form. High rounded edge, the field as a trefoil, the top formed with the extensions of the border and the base a depressed center leaf form. The trefoil was a favorite Viking form. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Good preservation and detail. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored, on an 18” gilt sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
