Description
All Philadelphia makers, first half of 19th century, comprising: five pieces by R & W Wilson a berry spoon with bright cut handle and twist stem, a fiddle sugar scoop with shell bowl, a shell form strainer with bright-cut decoration , and a knife, a sugar scoop with shell form bowl by Thomas Cresson Garrett (1805-88) marked “T.C Garrett and Co.” with hall marks to the back of the stem, four assembled salts two fiddle with shell form bowl and two with spade form bowl by George Russell marked “G. Russell”, and a salt marked “J.W”, ostensibly Philadelphia.
Dimensions: Ranging from 4” to 8 1/2” in length, the approximate weight of the all silver pieces is 5.47 troy ounces
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
