A RARE COLLECTION OF ASSORTED HAIR ACCESSORIES

Meiji (1868-1912) era, late 19th/early 20th century
Comprising 25 kanzashi (hair pins) of various materials including glass, gold lacquer, lacquered-wood, inlaid and silvered-metal and horn, two ichidome, 16 kogai or nobebou, 39 kushi (combs), six signed respectively, Hoitsu hitsu, Seisen Morimitsu after a design by Kano Sosen, Ryosai, Yoyusai, Hosai and Kakosai saku; the majority embellished with different designs, all contained in a plain black-lacquered kodansu (cabinet).
