Offered here for your consideration is a group of original Jimmy Yellowhair paintings. If you like beautiful art then this is the lot for you! Two of the paintings are characterized with the portrait of a stoic faced man with a hint of wonder in his eyes. Both of these men are fashioned with headdresses made of fur, claw necklaces, feathers and paint across their upper faces. The artist set both of these focal points on single tone backgrounds, making it so they beautifully stand out. Next are two works of art just as eye-catching as the first two.
With gorgeous scenes of pottery and turquoise jewelry rendered in lovely dessert shades of brown, orange and gray, the artist does a great job of captivating a scene from his life on the reservation. Jimmy is from Houck, Arizona and paints ceremonies and chronicles about the everyday life on the reservation. His paintings can be found in many of the Trading Posts and galleries around the Southwest and other places to this day. Exhibitions of Jimmy Yellowhair’s works include the Gambaro Museum in Washington, D.C., the Mid-America Arts Center in Wichita, Kansas, London, England, and others.
