Offered here is a 1940s petrified wood bracelet, ring, and earrings. The bracelet features a central petrified wood cabochon resting in a smooth silver bezel surrounded by coiled wire, silver loops, and twisted wire loops, all displayed on a slightly darkened background. The five wire terminal is conjoined on each side and ends. The ring features an elliptical petrified wood cabochon resting in a smooth silver bezel surrounded by twisted wire. The three wire band conjoined into a single smooth band is accented on each side of the setting by three stamped silver dots. MAKER: Likely Navajo, based on style and design, however this item is unmarked (as was common of Native jewelry from this era). The bracelet appears to have initials (YHT) etched but it is unclear if this is a hallmark or previous owner initials.
APPROX AGE: Circa 1940s.
SIZE: This bracelet measures approximately 4 7/8 inches from end to end on the silver, and has a 1 1/8 inch gap (fits a 6 inch wrist). It measures 1 1/2 inches wide at the widest part, and the ring measures 1 1/4 inches from top to bottom by 1/2 inch wide, and is a size 6 1/2. The earrings measure 1/2 inch square. The total weight is 50.1 grams.
