Half bound red leather over green cloth, raised bands and gilt on spine, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. 4to; 200pp.; 172pp. Volume I with frontispiece, both with numerous engraved plates. (Good volumes with scuffing and edgewear to boards, light staining, and rubbing at corners, bands, joints, and head and tail of spine; sturdy bindings; interior with foxing, offsetting, and light toning, first free endpaper of both volumes with small separation with vol. I with associated taped repair, vol. I with (2) pages with small corner loss.)

(About good copy with wear to boards including scuffs and light stains, rubbing at corners and head and tail of spine, slight separation from text block but still sturdy; interior with light toning, foxing, and staining, pencil inscription on front paste-down, front hinge cracked, frontispiece free of tears.)
