Description: Recounts the lives of the main religious founders of the Church and is depicted in the chapel of St. Lambert of Liessies in Haynaut. The choir of the Abbey of S. Lambert de Liessies en Haynaut represents a summary of the lives of the principal founders of the church's religions. Published in 1634 by BINET, Etienne A. Anvers, Chez Martin Nutius 300-[3-1 bl.] pp., size 6 1/4 by 8 1/4". Both covers feature a gilt-embossed Jesuit insignia encased in leather binding. Retracted. A few pages that have been repaired. This religious treatise was written by Jesuit author Binet in its first edition (1569-1639). The saints mentioned in it, primarily the founders of religious orders, including Augustinus, Benedictus, Bernardus, Franciscus, Dominicus, Ignatius, and others. It depicts the church of St. Lambert Abbey at Liessies. 39 engraved portraits of saints by Corn. & Theod. Galle, and a title picture of the church at Liessies are examples of engraved illustrations. Written in French.
