A Pair of Color Lithograph Prints: "Going to the Derby" and "Returning from the Derby", engraved by W. Summers in 1876, published by G.P. McQueen of London, in matching black stick frames, matted and glazed, OS: 26 1/4" x 22 3/4", image size: 15 3/4" x 14". Lightly toned. Tape on frames. With letter of agreement dated March 28th, 1930, from Arthur U. Newton at Four East Fifty-Sixth Street, NY, along with black and white photos of that period, giving provenance from the Collection of the Duke of Hamilton; from the collection of Sir Walter Gilbey. Alexander Hamilton, 10th Duke of Hamilton, 7th Duke of Brandon KG PC FRS FSA (1767-1852) was a Scottish politician and art collector. Gilbey (1831-1914), 1st Baronet, DL was an English wine-merchant and philanthropist.
