Description

A George III gold mounted walking cane together with a late 18th / early 19th century bi-coloured yellow metal and abalone mounted walking cane both untested and with later malacca cane shafts and brass ferrules, the handle to the first of slightly tapering form with plain top and alternating stop fluted and floral trailing pendant repousse decoration to the sides above a banded collar, makers mark PB, perhaps for Paul Barbot, London, 1774, the handle to the second of tapering form with pierced repousse decoration, the top with a formalised flowerhead roundel, the sides with vertical alternating stop-fluted and trailing floral pendants within corresponding formalised foliate and flowerhead roundel borders, apparently unmarked, 92cm and 91.5cm long approximately (2) For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
