Antique French Laquered Demilune Console

Item Details

Description

This rather special French console is a black lacquer with gilt. There are two porcelain oval medallions on the top border and front of the center cabinet both depicting romantic courting scenes. On either side border are 2 oval floral porcelains. The center cabinet is flanked by 2 columns with a gorgeous brass drop inlay in each top crevice.
A geometric brass inlay borders the three doors and crawls its way throughout.

A small gentle beaded detail borders each glass door. The side storage areas have curved glass doors and three shelves with two in the center area - all shelves are felt lined.
