Item Details
Description
A Dutch pressing of the 1968 Rolling Stones album, "Beggars Banquet," signed to the front cover by Mick Jagger in black marker. The autograph was obtained in Bussum, Netherlands in December 1986.
Accompanied by a signed letter of provenance (with photos) from the original recipient that reads, "I'm a huge Beatles fan and I also have a big collection/interest in other top acts, like Stones, Queen, U2 and Bowie. In the eighties I started collecting autographs too, but only 'in person.' I found out, that the best way to get them is, figure out in which hotel the artists stay. After the show, the pressure is off and then (far away from the concert-venue) you have the best chance. This LP was signed in Bussum, The Netherlands in December 1986. Mick Jagger was in that little town for some weeks and lived in a small rented cottage, whilst recording his album "Primitive cool" at the Wisseloord Studios. Below you see some action photos, on photo 1 (first on the left) you see my sister Diana in the centre. Me on the other photos taken when I met Mick again. On photo 3 you can see that he is actually signing the Beggar's Banquet LP!"
