Description
An early 1960s Silvertone 1445L hollowbody electric guitar in natural finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist.
The 1445L is very similar to the Kay Speed Demon, which share the pickups, general control layout, and basic body shape save for a sharper “horn” on the treble side of the body on the Kay. Arched maple top finished in natural, maple back and sides, a bound, block-inlaid 18 fret rosewood fingerboard. Electronics package includes three “Speed Bump” pickups with three volumes and two tones, with a 3-way switch for pickup selection. Switch is missing its lever knob. Original tailpiece, replaced roller bridge.
