Description
An Australian in-house "gold" record award for "Let There Be Rock" featuring a metal plaque in the shape of a map of Australia wih inscription "Presented to / BON SCOTT / for sales in excess of 20,000 units / by EMI Records Australia / January 1981". The back of the award is signed and inscribed in black ink "Chick and Isa Scott were kind enough to donate this to Andy's cause. I know you'll appreciate it / Thanks Mate / Mark Evans 1/1/00". This award was awarded to Bon Scott posthumously as the album went gold in Australia after Bon passed away in 1980.
Bon Scott's parents were named Chick and Isa. Mark Evans is the former bass guitarist for AC/DC from 1975-1977 and is currently a member of Rose Tattoo.
