Description
A relatively rare example of a weaving heddle pulley, featuring janus form faces on either side, carved coiffure, ringed neck to show prestige and a well handled surface. Mende Peoples, Sierra leone, West Africa. The Pulley measures 8.25 inches tall, and includes a lucite base, 10 inches tall when on base. Provenance: A Private New Jersey collection.
