Maxime Du Camp (French, 1922-1894). Salt print photograph titled "Thebes: Palais de Karnak Propylees du Sud" depicting a view of ruins, photographed ca. 1849-51, printed 1852. From the album “Egypte, Nubie, Palestine et Syrie."

Provenance: Lowinsky Gallery, New York; from the Estate of Christopher Cardozo.

Sheet; height: 12 1/4 in x width: 17 1/4 in. Matted; height: 16 in x width: 20 in.
Condition
The photo is mounted to paper board; verso not inspected. The emulsion appears smooth and without breaks. There are no tears, creases or losses. The sheet has discoloration and foxing throughout. There are no signs of restoration under UV light. Not framed.
