maker W?, London 1839, of classical Greek askos form, the naturalistic bifurcated vine handle hung with grapes, the hinged cover with a finial in the form of a bunch of grapes. 20.5cm high, 28.7 troy ounces
With non-transferable standard ivory exemption declaration number LP149HYW
There is some rubbing to the marks, but they are reasonably clear except for the maker's mark. The handle has ivory insulators and is firm. The hinged cover opens and closes well. No personalised engraving. The jug is generally in good condition with age-related surface wear.
