A 1914-15 Star trio of medals to a member of the Army Service Corps who first saw service in Egypt. 1914-15 Star medal, British War and Victory medals, “M2-131567 PTE. W WOOD A.S.C.” 36-year old Walter Wood from Walthamstow, London attested for service on 13th October 1915 and was sent Egypt just over a month later with 596th Company Army Service Corps arriving in Alexandria on 20th November 1915. Subsequently he served in Mesopotamia and India before returning to the U.K. on 26th April 1919 being discharged to Class Z Army Reserve on 23rd May 1915.
