The Kylin has a compound appearance: part deer, part ox, part horse and part fish, with the head of a dragon. Lively, intelligent, brave and gentle, it is believed to ward off devils and is considered a harbinger of prosperity. Signed by maki-e master artist Masaru Hayashi. Medium 18K two-tone gold nib, Mt.
