Chinese Yuan Dynasty Blue and White Porcelain Plum Bottle Vase. Potted into a traditional Meiping form, large, thick and tall potted, wide body on shoulder, slender neck easing to form narrow opening, with emerging slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color depicted of lotus flowers bloom interspersed foliage and enclosed with flori foam petals with flying cranes. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
