Two Chinese Qing Dynasty Balance Scales and Cases, 19th Century,
Apothecary or precious metals unequal arm balance scales, with brass pans attached by cotton cords to the beams, with brass counterweights attached to the other ends, with carved wood fitted cases for storage and portability. Also known as 'Opium Scales'.
Largest dimensions: L: 13 1/2 x W: 5 1/2 x D: 1 1/2 in.
