Cedar Island, Virginia Back Bay, circa 1900s, carved and painted wood, published on page 66 of Gunnin' Birds by Kroghie Andresen.
Length 9 in.
Williams made a small number of decoys, mostly ruddy ducks. He was the younger brother of famous market hunter and decoy carver John Williams. His ruddy ducks are highly collectible and rare.
Former collection of Ed Johnston.
Former collection of Reggie Waterfield, Jr. His father was the son-in-law of John Williams.
