Chincoteague, Virginia, circa 1930, carved and painted wood, REB branded on the bottom of each.
Longest length 18.5 in.
This composed pair of red breasted mergansers were crafted from cedar. They are larger than most.
From the hunting rig of Rab Berry. Berry lived a few doors south of Doug Jester.

In second coat of gunning paint, drake has age check down back, hen has wood imperfection on left side.
