MARYLAND FAMILY BONNET AND HAT BOX, the woven straw bonnet with net lining, fitted in a block-printed wallpaper covered pasteboard oval box, both with accession-type number. Circa 1832. Box 11 1/4" H, 12 1/4" x 17".
Provenance: Ex-Sumpter Priddy III, Alexandria, VA.
Catalogue Note: According to family tradition this bonnet was worn by Anna Moore at her 1832 wedding to James Dawson in Baltimore.
