Found in a velvet lined worn leather jewelry case with a silver plate plaque at top which is unengraved, an important watch fob made entirely of gold natural form nuggets held together with round link chains. Included in the case was a most unusual 14K gold closed case pocket watch engraved with mountainous scenes, tents a canoe etc. which is identified in a note inside to be El Dorado City. ...now Mountain Ranch 8 miles East of San Andreas. It should be noted there was no El Dorado City after 1868 and there was a large gold discovery there about 1849. A second 14K gold closed case watch was in the case. The face is marked E. D.
