AN AMERICAN CLASSICAL CARVED MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD, SECOND QUARTER 19TH CENTURY, the rectangular top above three frieze drawers with rounded faces over a central hinged door with cross-banded and arched paneling flanked by two cross-banded doors and disengaged Ionic columns, on conforming plinths raised on bun feet, locks stamped "EAGLE LOCK CO TERRYVILLE CONN. MADE IN USA" NOTE: the Eagle Lock Co., of Terryville Connecticut, was established in 1833 and for over the next 100 years established its reputation as a manufacturer of both residential and commercial locks, including simple door locks, padlocks and even trunk locks. The factory grew to include several buildings in Terryville which, for the most part, have been demolished.
