Randolph Rogers (American, 1825-1892), marble bust of a woman, mid-19th century, depicting a handsomely-dressed woman in mid-19th-century attire, signed "Randolph Rogers, Rome" on the rear, h. 28", w. 17", d. 8-1/2". Rogers was born in Waterloo, New York, but spent most of his adult life in Rome, Italy. Among his works are the "Columbus" doors of the U.S. Capitol and "Nydia, the Blind Flower Girl of Pompeii", now at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
