1936 Magic Chef deco stove, chrome frame, 44" wide, 24" deep, 60" tall. In original condition, some scratches & blemishes on enamel, some rust, scratches on chrome frame as well, no major chips or breaks on enamel, is dirty and needs to be cleaned & restored.
This lot is part of a collection of machine age chrome by makers Royalchrome, Chrometube, Warren MacArthur, Russel Wright, Wolfgang Hoffman, Heywood Wakefield and others amassed by John Walthers of Ridgewood NY
Walthers plan was to furnish the family home and the offices of his family run newspaper completely in the period. To that end he purchased a wide array of items in excellent condition mostly online in hopes that it's installation would recreate the era that so enticed him.
