Description
Chinese, Late Ming Dynasty (17th century). Carved cinnabar round charger with two flying and feathered phoenix birds amid lush lotus flowers and leaves. Bottom of charger or plate with brown finish on foot marked with incised eight character mark in gilt for Wanli reign (1573-1619). Diameter approximately 14.5".
