Description
Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive #762 was a L1 Classification "Mikado" with a 2-8-2 wheel configuration. It was built by the Pennsy in 1915. This is a standard Pennsylvania Railroad "bullet" shaped headlight with a lens diameter of 16". It measures 23" deep and the cylinder is 16" in length. With the mounting hardware it stands about 21" high. It has number boards on the sides. There is a trap door for access on one side as shown in one photograph. It has two mounting brackets with two mounting holes on each. It has been electrified with a 100w 120v AC house rated conversion. It comes with the dolly that it currently sits on. You can see this actual headlight in a photograph on page 58 of "Pennsy Power I" by Stauffer. Our consignor reports: "#762 was assigned to the Eastern Pennsylvania / Philadelphia Division. It was equipped with a stoker. It was construction #2927" Because of the size and weight we will not ship this item.
