Description
Egyptian funerary mask, Ptolemaic period: hand painted cloth with elaborate and gilded decoration on face and headdress. On a stand, in lucite display case. The mask was purchased in the early 1960’s in New Yor city by Robert H. DeMulder. Robert H. DeMulder, private collector, who was then living in Laguna Beach, Hollywood Hills and later Houston, Texas. worked with founder Ray Kroc of MacDonald’s in the early 1960’s , first as advertising exec.- Arnold Agency, later opening first international markets/stores, i.e., Japan, and believe Germany. Also first supervisor of the original Ronald MacDonald, who created and sold the concept to company. Robert DeMulder's sister inherited the mask from her brother's estate in 2007.
