Item Details

Description

Chinese, 20th century. A pair of finely carved soapstone mirrored table lamps each depicting a phoenix perched on a rocky outcropping with lotus root extending from its mouth, the stone raised to a cloud shaped silver gilt wood base with pierced apron, each with cream colored conforming shade bearing auspicious symbols and peony flowers, with green stone finial. Unmarked. Overall approximate height 27.75", width of shade 14.75", depth 10".
