Item: US Army Engineer Officer Desk Emblem Handmade

Date: Early 20th century

Size: 9.5 inches wide x 5.25 inches high x 4.5 inches deep

Material: Mahogany wood

This is a circa early 20th century United States Army Engineer Officer desk emblem. This fabulous 3-D engineer insignia The castle-shaped emblem was made completely by hand and is done in mahogany: it may have been made in the Philippines during the Spanish War. The two doors and tall rectangular windows are inlaid in reddish pieces and there a several other details, such as a front and rear staircase and deep carvings to the top of the turrets. The emblem also has a rounded slot in which to hold a pen.
