STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED AMERICAN HISTORICAL CERAMIC WASTE BOWL, having dark blue transfer design titled "La Fayette at Franklin's Tomb" with a seated figure representing the Marquis de Lafayette beside a tomb, the base of the plaque reading "FRANKLIN", nautical scene in the background and floral surround. Unmarked. Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, Staffordshire, England. 1825-1830. 3 1/4" H.
Light radial surface hairline on base that does not go through to interior. Foot rim with two minor flakes that are likely from manufacturing because they are triangulated as a result of kiln furniture.
