Description
Brion's attractive map of the Holy Land divided into tribal territories, with a key to royal, priestly and "refuge" cities, the whole surrounded by a decorative "frame" surmounted by the royal French coat of arms.
Louis Brion de la Tour (1743 – 1803) was an 18th century French geographer and demographer. During his career, his official title was "Ingénieur Géographe du Roi", or "King's Engineer Geographer".
