India and the Middle East.- Salt (Henry) Pagoda at Tanjore; The Pass of Atbara in Abyssinia, both from: 'Twenty-Four Views in St Helena, The Cape, India, Ceylon, The Red Sea, Abyssinia and Egypt', aquatint and etchings, with hand-colouring, by Havell and Bluck, on thick wove paper, each platemark approx. 480 x 650 mm. (18 7/8 x 25 5/8 in), both with good margins, some spotting and browning, surface dirt and damp-stains, the 'Pagoda' with nicks and tears with two going into the platemark, both unframed, 1809; together with three plates from Edward Orme's Oriental Field Sports, including 'Smoking Wolves from their Earths', 'The Tiger at Bay', and 'Shooting a Leopard', aquatint and etchings, with hand-colouring, on Whatman wove paper with watermarked dates 1817 and 1818, each platemark 380 x 490 mm. (15 x 19 1/4 in), the latter plate with loss to lower right corner, otherwise surface dirt and browning, minor damp-stains, all unframed, [circa 1807 but later]; and with 5 others, including an exhibition poster 'Wild Sports of the East' featuring a cut-out reclining lion printed in colours using stencils, Orme's additional title page to Oriental Field Sports, and three views published by Bowyer, showing Monuments on the coast of Syria, another of the Tomb in the Valley of Jehosophat, and lithograph by another titled 'Cutting Mealies in Golu Valley, Feb. 1852', etchings, aquatints, lithographs, largest 360 x 530 mm. (14 x 20 7/8 in), all unframed, [19th century], (10).
