This wonderful example of a Revolutionary War Period Dice Shaker with original Set of 2 Ox Bone Dice. Measures about 3.5” tall and 1.75” at base, shaped somewhat like an hour glass. It has grooves inside for tumbling the dice as you shake them. Dice measure about .5” square. This example is far superior in its quality to the one listed and imaged as number 9 on page 129 of the “Collector’s Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution” by Neumann and Kravic. It still retains significant smooth hard glossy surfaces and has seen almost no wear from use. A museum quality example, perfect for any Colonial era or gambling related collection display.
