Description
An assortment of ancient Egyptian faience, glass and bronze beads. Group contains a strand of Egyptian faience tubular beads, Late Period, c. 64 - 30 BC, strung with a Roman glass bead, and a three Roman bronze tubular beads, c. 1st - 3rd Century AD, with nice olive green patination strung on the original leather and cord with knots at either end. Also included is a loose Roman orange glass bead with original bronze loops. Faience strand measures about 14 in (35.4 cm) in length and the strand with bronze beads is 7 1/4 in (18.4 cm) in length. An interesting group from the Ernest Freemark collection, formed 1913-1915; Ex Knickerbocker family collection, NY, by descent.
