Description
This is a handsome map of the Americas, offering details on settlements and topography. New Albion (originally a name by Sir Francis Drake for all of North America north of Mexico) is limited to current Pacific Northwest. Louisiana is still shown as largely the Louisiana Purchase area and the Russian Territory (Alaska) is shown. Several Indian tribes are identified. Antarctica's coast line is still only partially surveyed.
