Description
Court martial trial of six soldiers of the 1st Pennsylvania Light Artillery led by then Major Robert M. West. Men included Jeremiah Cook for conduct, sentenced to 10 days hard labor. (He died of heart disease in 1862). Private James Sharkey, sentenced to 8 days hard labor. The four other soldiers all received hard labor as well. William Dormady was later executed in 1863 after another Court Martial. Approximately 25 written pages loaded with detail. Cover letter signed by Major (and future Brigadier General) Robert M. West.
